Terms of Service

Last updated 30 September 2026

Beta notice. TruLearn is in private beta. This document describes what we actually do today, in plain language, and is pending review by counsel before general availability. If anything here matters to your decision, write to us and ask.

These terms cover your use of TruLearn while it is in private beta. Using the product means you accept them.

Who can have an account

You need to be 18 or over to create an account. A parent or guardian may create and control an account for a child, and is responsible for their use of it. One person per account; keep your password to yourself. Access during the beta is granted by us a few places at a time, so creating an account puts you in a queue rather than starting a subscription.

What it costs

Nothing, during the beta. We take no card and there is no plan to charge you retroactively. If and when paid plans arrive we will tell beta users first and you will be able to decline without losing access to your own data.

What we promise

  • To teach from curriculum that a person has authored and reviewed, rather than improvised per session.
  • To grade against a rubric that exists before the student answers, not one invented afterwards.
  • To keep your learning records and let you take them with you or delete them.
  • To tell you plainly when something is broken or when we change these terms.

What we do not promise

This is a beta. Things will break, sessions may be interrupted, and features will change or be withdrawn. We do not guarantee uptime, and we do not guarantee any particular educational outcome, grade or exam result - TruLearn is a teaching tool, not a warranty on learning, and it does not replace a qualified teacher where one is required by law. Nothing here is medical, psychological or educational-assessment advice. To the extent the law allows, the product is provided as is, and our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us, which during the beta is nothing.

Using it properly

  • Do not use TruLearn to cheat where you have been told not to. Having the tutor explain an idea is learning; having it complete graded work you are meant to do yourself is not, and that line is set by your school, not by us.
  • Do not try to break, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to generate content that is illegal, hateful or harmful to a child.
  • Do not resell access or share your account with people outside your household.

Who owns what

We own the product, the curriculum, the software and the TruLearn name. You own what you say and what you draw; you grant us the licence needed to teach you with it, to grade it, and to improve the product, as described in the Privacy Policy - which includes not training models on student voice data.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from the product. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or wind the beta down entirely; if we do, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data first.

Changes and contact

We will post material changes here and email account holders rather than editing this page quietly. Questions: hello@trulearn.ai.
