For homeschool families
A whole course that teaches - and shows you what's landing.
You chose to teach your own children. TruLearn takes the subject you are least equipped to teach and does it properly, then tells you the truth about how it went.
Why families are using it
What you get that a worksheet cannot give you
It teaches, so you don't have to pre-read the chapter
You are not being handed a worksheet generator. It arrives with the lesson planned, teaches it out loud, and handles the subject at a depth most parents would need an evening to prepare.
Standards-aligned, and you can see the map
Courses are a curated path over a concept library mapped to published standards, so 'are we covering what we are supposed to' has an answer you can look at.
Explaining it back is the assessment
Every session ends with your child saying the idea in their own words, graded against a rubric a human wrote. That is evidence of understanding in a way a multiple-choice score is not.
Wrong ideas get named and fixed
A misconception your child voices is stored in their own words and brought back until they explain it correctly. Nothing quietly slides by.
Patient in a way a parent at 4pm cannot always be
It will explain the same idea a fourth way without a sigh, and it is designed to let a child wrestle with something before rescuing them, because that is where learning happens.
Built to be trusted with a child
Content is authored and reviewed rather than improvised, every lesson is screened for known wrong ideas before it is spoken, and what was taught is recorded.
In practice
What a week looks like
Set the course and the deadline
Pick the course and say when the exam is, or that there isn't one. The pace is planned backwards from that, not from a generic syllabus.
Your child sits a session, a few times a week
Thirty minutes by default, at a desk or on a tablet. Voice-first, so it works for a child who reads slowly as well as one who doesn't.
Review arrives on its own
Ideas come back for review on the day they are about to be forgotten, mixed into the next session rather than bolted on as homework.
Being straight with you
What it does not do yet
AP Biology is the course that is properly built. More subjects are being authored, and authoring is slow on purpose because a reviewed rubric is the thing that makes mastery mean anything. There is no parent dashboard yet - you see how it is going by asking your child to explain what they learned, which is rather the point. Transcripts and record-keeping for a portfolio are not built.
